Description: Native to Brazil, this plant has stunning dark purple, almost black, and hot pink leaves. Like other calatheas, its leaves open up and lay flat during the day to soak up the sun and close tight at night.

Care: Calatheas love medium to bright indirect light and can't tolerate dry soil. Make sure to keep the soil moist to avoid getting crispy brown edges. Calatheas appreciate high humidity as well. If you notice brown leaf edges, consider increasing the humidity or moving the plant to a higher humidity area.
